Mr. Donald Frederick Mitsch

Mitsch, Donald F. age 87, of Muskego, formerly of the Town of Waterford, passed away peacefully at Waterford Senior Living – Memory Care Unit on Wednesday March 17, 2021. Don was born in Burlington on May 20, 1933 to the late Albert and Eugenia (nee. Koebernick) Mitsch. He spent his early life on the family farm and was a graduate of Waterford Union High School. On June 30, 1979 he married Diane Lee Lekfield at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Waterford. Don worked on the farm for most of his life and worked for S & Z Construction. Most recently Don and his wife Diane owned a cleaning service business in Muskego. In Don’s spare time he enjoyed bowling. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Survived by his wife Diane, four children: Debbie (Carl) Rateike, Todd (Rita) Mitsch, Timmy Mitsch, and Heidi (Bill) Spitzburger, four stepchildren: Bradley (Dawn) Minor, Michael Minor, Eva (Dave) Skrobis, and Mellena (Mark) Hoppe; and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Arlene (Ron) Penning, Dale Lekfield, Janis Goldhammer, Donna Lekfield, Bonnie (Mark) Bourdo, Timmy Lekfield and Terry Lekfield; and by other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents and one grandson Timothy, along with his mother and father-in-law.
Funeral Services will be held later at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Waterford.
In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
