Donald Clifford Jensen

Donald Clifford Jensen was a beloved grandfather, father, and husband during his incredible 94 years of life. He passed away peacefully on September 24, 2024 on his 69th wedding anniversary after celebrating his 94th birthday the day before (with cake).

He was born September 23, 1930 in New Lisbon, WI to Clayton and Abbie Jensen. His final months were spent in Waterford, but he called Waukesha his home where he raised his family with his loving wife Arlene, who will miss him dearly. He served in the Korean War, went on to study at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, then spent the majority of his career working for Aqua-Chem, Inc. Prior to retirement in 1993, he worked several years for the City of Waukesha. After retirement, he enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida. 

Don was a strong, kind, supportive father and grandfather. He and Arlene were the biggest cheerleaders of the family, enjoying many of their grandchildren's activities. He was a true outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. Don shared his wisdom and passions with all. We cherish the many life lessons he taught along the way.

Don is survived by his devoted wife, Arlene. He was the loving dad to his children, Diane Spanaus, Donna (Brian) Bennetts, and Pam (Jeff) Selz. He was the proud grandpa of Tyler Spanaus, Heidi Bennetts (Hector Prada), Corey Bennetts (Noah Armstrong), Alyse (Matt) Weinheimer, and Drew Selz; and the proudest great grandpa to Coralyn, Lila, Nora and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dennis Spanaus, whom he held close to his heart. He is survived by many other close relatives and friends who provided steadfast support throughout the last few years.

We will miss his stories. Rest in peace, Pops. 

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cotton Exchange Plantation Hall (345 Hickory Hollow Rd. Waterford, WI 53185). Visitation from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Luncheon to follow.
