Dennis K. Smith

Dennis K. Smith, 76 years of age and resident of Wind Lake, Wisconsin, found peace on December 12, 2024. 

He was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Elaine Lietha Smith and Jerry Smith on December 7, 1948. Dennis attended Muskego High School, class of 1967, and also attended MATC from 1967-1969, earning a degree in Graphic Arts. On June 13, 1970, he married Jane Fritz Smith.

A lifelong resident of Wind Lake, Wisconsin, Dennis started his printing career at The Hi-Liter in Burlington, Wisconsin, and ended his printing career as co-owner of Allen Press in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Dennis was a proud member of The Wind Lake Jaycee’s and had many interests and hobbies. These included coaching his kid’s baseball teams, hunting, especially deer hunting with his son Jeff, brother Dave, nephews Lonnie, Lee, and Loren, Bill and Mike Runge and Gordy Mudlaff (The Milwaukee Bunch), trapshooting, bowling, photography, and spending time with his family. He loved spending time in Buffalo City, Wisconsin, with family and friends. Dennis also loved telling stories and reminiscing about the old days. He was the proud Papa to his five granddaughters and also enjoyed watching all of them play softball. 

Survived by his loving wife, Jane Smith; children Jennifer (Yancy) Morin of Wind Lake, Wisconsin and Jeffrey (Heidi) Smith of Wind Lake, Wisconsin; grandchildren Hailee Morin, Riley Morin, Allison Smith, Grace Morin, and Kaci Smith, sister-in-law Joan (Robert) Newman; as well as other relatives and many friends. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Elaine, mother-in-law Lolly Nelson, his brother David Smith, and brother-in-law James Fritz. 

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19th, at Mealy-Stencel Funeral Home (225 W Main Street, Waterford, Wisconsin, 53185), from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m.
