Mrs. Della Rowntree

Rowntree, Della D., of Dover Township, Age 96, passed away at Linden Grove Nursing Home in Mukwonago on Tuesday, April 17, 2012. She was born in Caldwell, WI on October 25, 1915, the daughter of Samual and Alma (nee: Jenerjohn) Hotz. Della was a 1934 graduate of Waterford Union High School. In August of 1934 she married Donald Francis Rowntree. She worked on the Rowntree homestead farm with her husband Don most of their married life. Della also volunteered thousands of hours with the Burlington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She sewed her own clothes, baked homemade bread and spent time in her flower garden. She also loved to travel, especially overseas to England and Germany. She is survived by her two sons: Charles "Chuck" (Carol) of Burlington and James "Jim" (Rayanne) of Florida, five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by one sister: Myrna Wolf of Caldwell, WI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband: Donald in 2005, daughter: Jane Donna in 1943, brothers: Arnold and Norman Hotz, and nephew: Garth Hotz. Services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2012, at 2:30 PM in the Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Christensen of East Troy Bible Church officiating. Visitation in the Funeral Home prior to services from 1:30-2:30 on Saturday. Burial following services in Rochester Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials to Burlington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
