Chapman, David E. “Ted” age 84 of Waterford passed away Thursday at his residence. Born in Green Bay the son of Bruce Aldridge and Prudence Leninger. Ted’s family moved to East Troy where he graduated High School and then proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. On May 14, 1955 he married Evelyn M. Lancour whom preceded him in death October 22, 2008. Ted was a truck driver most his working life, a member of English Settlement Church in Burlington, and also attended Northwest Bible Church in Elgin , Illinois and Community United Methodist Church in Waterford. In his spare time Ted enjoyed woodworking in his shop. In his younger days he enjoyed water skiing. Ted was inspirational in building and helping build the Community United Methodist Church and also helped with maintaining the grounds of the church. He spent some time tending his roses and gardens of which he enjoyed.
Survived by two children David B. “Teddy” Chapman of Waterford and Dianna(David) Rickert of Elgin, Ill, Grandchildren: Quinn, Rebecca and Raquel Rickert, Sisters Dolores(Howard) Campbell of Stevens point and Sue(Doug) Cedarquist of Fresno, CA, one Brother-in-Law: Gerald Schmidt of Elkhorn, nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
Proceeded in death by his parents Wife Evelyn, Sisters: Jacqueline Chambers, Marilyn Schmidt and Kathleen Barker.
Services Sunday February 15th 4:00 PM at Community United Methodist Church, 455 South Jefferson Street, Waterford. Visitation in Church 3-3:45 SUNDAY. Private Burial will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy memorials are suggested to either: Community United Methodist Church, English Settlement Methodist Church or Northwest Bible Baptist Church.
