Buchholtz, David, age 53, of Waterford, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born on February 13, 1960, in Burlington, WI, the son of Merton and Carol Buchholtz. David graduated from Waterford Union High School in 1979. David spent his younger years on the family farm in Waterford, where he enjoyed riding dirt bikes and snowmobiling. He also worked for David Cowan trucking in Burlington. Surviving are his parents: Merton and Carol Buchholtz, brothers and sisters: Sandy Senft, Bill (Stephanie), Sarah, Dale (Janet), nieces and nephews: Beth (Todd) Morawetz, Becky (Jon) Arneson of Maple Plains, MN, Breanne (Klay) Schultz, Andrew (Melissa) Handeland, Joshua, Matthew, Carrie (Josh), Derik Chapman, Cassandra (Steve) Fischer and Kaitlyn, great nieces and nephews: Gavin, Jack, Taylor, Jake, Megan, Desi, DJ, JJ, Brooke, Rylie, Allie, Tenlie, Alaina, Alejandro, Mariela, Madison, Kylie and Andrew. Friends: Eugene Klinzing, Frank and Joe Bellante. Godfather to Becky and JJ. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law: Floyd Senft. A Memorial Gathering will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, 145 S. Sixth St., Waterford, on Friday, August 23, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Service will begin at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Frederick Bischoff officiating. Inurnment to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. A light luncheon will follow after the service. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy, the family suggests that memorials be sent to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in David’s name. Mealy Funeral Home, Inc.
