Mr. Darryl Francis Skarda

Darryl Francis Skarda, age 91, of Waterford, WI, left us to be with the love of his life, “Roie” on April 22, 2021.
During his youth he spent his summers on the family farm in Northeastern Wisconsin. Farm life was his passion as a child, and in his younger years. As an adult he entered the carpet industry. He started laying carpet as a young man and later owned a carpet distributing company until he retired.
Darryl was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who adored his family. Family meant everything to Darryl, and he worked hard to support his family to make sure they had full and active lives. The family spent their days outdoors; snowmobiling, ice skating, fishing, go-carting, skiing, boating, and camping. Family summers were spent on Paw Paw Lake in Michigan, and family vacations were taken throughout the year to different resorts and campgrounds.
Darryl loved anything related to cars. He often took his kids to watch his nephew Jim Skarda (Stanwood, MI) and Jim’s friends’ race.
Darryl is survived by his son Darryl D. Skarda (Marc Ann) of Ringgold, GA, daughters, Darlene (Grant) Miller of Capron, IL, and Denise Grainger of Waterford, WI; six grandsons, five great grandchildren, one brother, one sister, two sisters-in-law, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Darryl is preceded in death by his wife Roseanne “Roie” (Albano) Skarda, his parents Jacob Skarda and Marcella (Hanek) Skarda, and his brother Adrian Skarda.
A private ceremony will be held for the family.
