Daniel James Lewis

Daniel James Lewis, 70 years of age and resident of Burlington, Wisconsin, passed away on December 28, 2024 at Pine Brook Pointe due to complications from Alzheimer’s. 

Daniel was born on May 28, 1954, in Burlington, Wisconsin, to the late Gordon and Martha (nee Nannemann) Lewis. He attended St. Thomas Grade School and Waterford Union High School, class of 1972. On March 29, 1980, Daniel was united in marriage to Margaret Fiebelkorn. The two remained residents of Burlington. In 2016, Daniel retired from Beere Precision, where he was employed for 44 years. Daniel was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church and the Knights of Columbus. 

Daniel will be especially remembered for his kindness. He was an easygoing man, hardworking, and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed golf, sports, card games, walking, and bowling. Daniel was a loving husband, father, and grandpa. He will be missed by many.

Survived by his loving wife, Margaret; children Greg (Kerri) Lewis and Linda (Derek) Franz; grandchildren Maddie, Hank, Karley, and Mack; brothers David, Terry (Laverne), and Jim (Debbie); sister Janice (Mike); and his loyal dog Stan. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Martha Lewis; in-laws Ralph and Evelyn Fiebelkorn; sister-in-law Karen; brother-in-laws Jerry and Ward; nephew Matt Sadler, and his infant sister, Connie. 

Services will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church (305 S 1st St, Waterford, WI 53185), on January 3rd, 2025. Visitation from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Private family inurnment to be held at a later date.
