Lutkus, Clemons Ludwig “Clem", of Waterford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the age of 86. Clem was born August 26, 1927 to Anthony and Mary Lutkus in Racine, WI. He was raised in Racine, graduating from Park High School. He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947 and was a recipient of the Victory Medal and Army Occupation Medal of Germany. In 1954, after his service, he married the love of his life, Carol Hoffman, in Sturtevant, WI. Clem worked as a car salesman for Schaefer Pontiac, retiring after 40 years. In his early years he was a sailor, sailing a 3 mast schooner around the Great Lakes. He loved boating, fishing, playing cribbage. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Clemons is survived by his children: Jeffrey (Judith) of Racine; Scott (Ann) of Kansasville; Michelle (Steve) Seitz of Waterford; 4 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sister: Mary (Ralph) Ludwig of Racine. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife: Carol; brother: Stan and sister: Jeannette Saler. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Aurora VNA Nurses and the Waterford Senior Living Memory Care Unit for their care and compassion during Clem’s journey. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church – 305 South First St., Waterford, WI 53185. Visitation will be in Church prior to Mass on Friday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Burial will be held on Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy the family would appreciate donations to be made to Waterford Senior Living Center’s Memory Care Unit.
