Charles “Chuck” Lois, aged 85, beloved husband, father, grandfather and Great grandfather, went into the arms of his heavenly Father at his home on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who knew him.
Chuck was born on August 24,1939 in Burlington, WI, the son of the late Elmer and Louise Lois of Rochester, WI. He grew up in Rochester and is a 1957 graduate of Rochester Agricultural School.
Chuck enlisted in the Army after graduation. He completed his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood then was stationed near Bourdeaux in southeastern France until his honorable discharge in 1960. He began his career as a sheet metal worker in 1960 at Steinke’s Plumbing and Heating in Waterford, WI. On October 27, 1962 Chuck married the love of his life, Judy Worny. Together, they had 4 children for whom he was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
In his younger years, Chuck was an avid pheasant hunter and clay target shooter. He had a love for the outdoors and for wildlife. He enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting dogs. Chuck also enjoyed listening to Brewer games and his “grandpa juice”. And like beloved St. Joseph, Chuck was skilled at woodworking and in loving his family.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Judy, his children; Lori (Ed) Mansur, Linda (Eric) Hufford, Lisa (Dennis) Reilly and Chuck (Jill) Lois. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Chelsy Mansur, Gary Reilly, Cindy Reilly, Austin Reilly, Maddie (Chris) Skaggs, Alex (Maria) Lois and Michael (Katie) Lois and by his Great-Granddaughter, Brooklyn Reilly.
Chuck was proceeded in death by his mother and father Elmer and Louise Lois, sister Marian Winski and by his father and mother-in-law Walter and Evelyn Worny and his brother-in-law Robert Worny.
A private service will be held for family at a future date.
