Hopkins, Betty Lou Emily, (nee. Laux) age 86, of Waterford, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 29, 2017 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 2, 1930, the daughter of the late Harold and Lenora (nee. Meyer) Laux. She was a graduate of Waterford Union High School. On September 11, 1954 she married John Hopkins who has preceded her in death. Betty Lou was a jack of all trades, working right up until the very end. She was known as the Custard Celebrity and Burlington Icon. She had the ability to make people smile and feel good about life. Betty Lou was the true meaning of superb customer service wherever she worked. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and jigsaw puzzles. Her greatest joy was spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family, close friend Darlene Adrian and many friends.
