Czernicki, Bernice Clara (nee. Sandner), age 80, of Franksville, passed away December 20, 2015 with her loving family by her side. Bernice was born in Milwaukee on December 12, 1935 to John and Dorothy (nee. Yunker) Sandner. Bernice married the love of her life Joseph Czernicki on May 23, 1959 at St Ann’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. After marriage they lived in Milwaukee until they moved to Franksville in 1971, just days before Christmas. Bernice worked in the clothing industry for many years and Kohl’s Food Store. She was an active member of the American Legion Post 203, woman’s auxiliary. She loved the flowers in her garden and cooking, but most of all she adored caring for her grandchildren. She had the biggest heart of gold anyone could ever have.
Bernice is survived by her husband: Joseph; two sons: Joe (Rochelle) Czernicki, Mike (Tracy) Czernicki; two daughters: Linda Janczkowski (Bill Nissen), Mary (Greg) Wilson; seven grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Beverly, Lil Sandner, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Roy, Herbert, Robert and John; one sister-in-law: Patricia.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 23, 2015 from 1-2 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St., Waterford, with Mass starting at 2 PM. Private inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Bernice’s family suggest memorials be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church, School Fund.
