Ana Maria Muschlewski

Muschlewski, Ana Marie, age 76, of Waterford, passed away at Aurora Memorial Hospital in Burlington on August 26, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Ana was born July 26, 1941 to Daniel and Carmen (nee. Murphy) Bordas in Cabo Gracias Adios, Nicaragua. Ana came to the United States at an early age and grew up in New Orleans, LA. She met a wonderful man, Raymond August Muschlewski, and they were married at St. Maurice church in Arabi, LA. After marriage they moved to Milwaukee where Ana returned to school and received a Master’s degree in Education from UWM. Ana began to work for the Milwaukee Public School system as a head start/kindergarten teacher before starting her own business, Child Care Consultants, which she truly enjoyed. She was also a life member of the VFW-Lady’s Auxiliary. She loved traveling and teaching and working with children but nothing came close to the love she had for her grandchildren.
Ana is survived by her loving husband Raymond, two children: Michael and Andrew (Katherine); three grandchildren: Guthrie, Fiona, Mia; brothers and sisters: Lorena Bordas, William (Nitza) Muller, Dionesia (Tyson) Henley, Viviana Bordas, Mirna Henly, Lino Zuniga, Mireya Colomer, Violeta Henly, Antonio Henly and Carolina LaBorde. Special thanks to niece Beatriz Paiz Castillo for all her care and devotion to her Tia.
She is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers: Joe, James, Edward, Gus, Charles, Harold, John, Rogelio Paiz Murphy; and one sister: Lydia Malick.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 9-10:45 AM with Mass starting at 11 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 305 S. First St. Waterford, WI 53185. Committal Service will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 21731 Spring St. Union Grove, WI 53182 at 2PM. In lieu of floral expressions of sympathy Ana’s family suggest memorials to St. Charles Church Burlington/Hispanic Ministry.
