Kemp, Alloy E, age 75 of Wind Lake, Wisconsin passed away at St. Luke’s Medical Center on Sunday June 3rd. He was born into a family of nine siblings in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alloy and Fern Gladys (nee. Logan) Kemp. Alloy spent his early life in McGregor, Iowa were he graduated from High School, played saxophone, and was on the Basketball Team during the State Finals competition. On January 23, 1953 in Newport, Rhode Island he married Elaine Agnes Marquardt living initially on the US Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba moving later to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. During the late 60’s Alloy helped start up a new foundry in Richland Center, Wisconsin. He also parlayed his love for animals and gardening into a part-time avocation purchasing a dairy farm keeping his two sons fully occupied. His love of industry returned him to the Milwaukee area working and eventually retiring from Grede Foundry on December 31, 1993. Alloy served his country with the US Navy during the Korean War Era, assigned to the USS Cascade sailing a number of times to Europe and within the Caribbean. Survived by his wife Elaine of Wind Lake, Children: Donald C. and wife Julie Kemp of Dellwood MN, Gregory A. Kemp of Wind Lake, Karen L. and husband John Beck of Carrollton, Georgia, and Barbara and husband Paul Kosharek, of Duxbury, MA. Eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild also survive him. Further survived by sisters Jean Getter of Milwaukee and Betty (Ralph) Rechlitz of Saukville & brothers Bob (Anna) Kemp of Boaz, WI and James Kemp of Milwaukee. Visitation 3-5 P.M. on Thursday June 7th at Mealy Funeral Home, services with Deacon Carl Mahnke officiating at 5 P.M. Burial with Military Honors at South East Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery (21731 Spring Street-Hwy C, Union Grove), on Friday June 8th at 9:00 in the morning. Please meet at the cemetery at 8:45 A.M.
