Mrs. Agnes V. Roed

Roed, Agnes V. Age 91 of Waterford, formerly Wind Lake passed away December 30, 2008. She was born in Birch Creek Wisconsin October 10, 1917 the daughter of the late John and Hilda (nee. Johnson) Swanson. She spent her early life in and around Warrens, Wisconsin. On October 22, 1949 in Warrens, Agnes married Loris E. Roed, whom preceded her in death April 11, 1995. The couple moved to Wind Lake in 1954, where Agnes was a homemaker and for the past two years has resided at Levi Barnes residential facility in Waterford. Agnes was a dedicated member of Norway Lutheran Church of Wind Lake where she was assisting with the Alter Guild and helped with many church activities. She also was a member of the Town of Norway Historical Society, Wind Lake Chamber of Commerce and Wind Lake VFW Auxiliary. Agnes loved to read, garden and pick flowers along with spending time with friends and family Survived by son John (Diane) Roed with Granddaughter Lisa (Pradeep) Jain with great grandchildren Megan and Kyle, and Grandson David Roed. Further Survived by son-in-law: Russell Haberstroh and his children, and many great grand children. Also survived by niece Ann (Neil) Haught and their children, other relatives and countless friends. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Loris, daughter Lori and one brother Emil Swanson. Services Friday January 2, 2009 10:30 AM at Norway Lutheran Church, 6321 Heg Park Road, Wind Lake, Wisconsin. Visitation IN CHURCH Friday 9:30 until time of service.
